Max Verstappen igualó la marca de victorias del extinto Ayrton Senna y Red Bull se adjudicó su triunfo número 100 en la Fórmula 1, con el neerlandés ganando de punta a punta el Gran Premio de Canadá.
Checo Pérez no pudo reponerse de la desastrosa sesión de clasificación sabatina y terminó en la sexta posición tras largar desde el lugar 12. El mexicano de RBR se quedó con el punto extra por hacer la vuelta más rápida en carrera.
El bicampeón neerlandés, de 25 años, ganó por sexta vez en la temporada, fue su cuarta victoria consecutiva y la número 41 en su carrera para igualar a la leyenda brasileña en el quinto puesto de la tabla histórica de la Fórmula 1.
Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin) se tuvo que conformar con el segundo lugar tras protagonizar una feroz pulseada con Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes). La buena carrera de Alonso acercó al español a Checo Pérez en la pelea por el Mundial de Pilotos.

Después de una desastrosa clasificación, Ferrari acaparó la cuarta y quinta posición, en manos de Charles Leclerc y Carlos Sainz, respectivamente. Alex Albon completó una gran carrera para Williams y se llevó el séptimo puesto, seguido de Esteban Ocon (Alpine) y Lando Norris (McLaren), con Valteri Bottas (Alfa Romeo) completando las diez primeras posiciones.
Por otra parte, Red Bull se mantiene perfecto en 2023: van ocho victorias en 8 Grandes Premios en este año. Esta fue su victoria 100 en la máxima categoría del equipo fundado en 2005, su primer triunfo fue en el GP de China de 2007 con Sebastian Vettel al volante.

La escudería austríaca presume seis campeonatos de Pilotos (2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2021 y 2022) y cinco de Constructores (2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 y 2022), donde Verstappen les ha dado 41 victorias y Checo Pérez aportó cinco más.
Con este resultado, Verstappen liderea el Campeonato de pilotos al sumar 195 puntos contra 126 de Checo Pérez y 117 de Fernando Alonso. En el Mundial de Constructores, Red Bull lidera con 321 unidades, seguido de Mercedes, con 167.
La próxima carrera es el Gran Premio de Austria, se disputará el próximo 2 de julio en el Red Bull Ring en Spielberg, sede de Red Bull Racing.
